For the beginning of 2016 I have been using this moisturiser as part of my daily morning routine. It comes in this great packaging and features Argan oil, Vitamin C & E and Dead Sea minerals. Needless to say I was excited to take this for a whirl!
Firstly, It smells really good! It has fresh and clean fragrance that is not too overpowering, and it fits well with the other products in my grooming regime.
This is a strong and long lasting moisturiser, that I found to be particularly good after a shave, as a sort of post shave boost to the skin. All of the scraping of a blade across your skin, can really dry it out, and that is where this product really comes into its own.
Although the product absorbs well into the surface of the skin, for me it is just too heavy for everyday use. It left me feeling a little oily on the surface. In strong winds or adverse weather this is a great antidote for repairing and restoring, but in the summer this would not work for me.
I tried this as an intense night cream also, and I think I will stick to this for the remainder of the tube. The Baldwin moisturising lotion ticks all the boxes on paper, but in reality it fell a little short.
In summary, for those of you who spend a lot of your time out in the elements, braving the cold weather on a daily basis, this savvy product may just be the one for you. A word of warning though, I can find no mention of the product containing SPF, which I find quite interesting. I would have thought that this would be a key ingredient for a male grooming product at this price point. This is a good moisturizer for those looking for a stronger and more intense level of moisture, it is an effective brand and has lots of great ingredients within it. For me though it doesn’t cover all of the bases, when it comes to what I am personally looking for in a moisturiser.
Approximately $30 dollars for 100ml.
