I’m a lucky man. There is no doubt about it.

This year I was treated to an array of gifts over the festive season, but one that stood out was a new fragrance from Bath and Bodyworks.

I can be quite particular about my fragrances, I often return to my favourites (black tea by Murdock’s of London, Woodsage and sea salt from Jo Malone, Skinwear by Ted Baker) because they feel just right. Maybe this is because they remind me of happy times or because there’s a sort of comfort to the familiar, but those fragrances feel, in a way, a part of me.

For years now I have been a huge fan of Bath and Body works. Their candles are incredible and the fragrance pay off is insane. So when we were perusing a B&BW stand in NEXT and I stumbled across the MAHOGANY TEAKWOOD Cologne I knew I needed to try it! It’s one of my favourite candle scents and I knew that it was a bit different to the other fragrances in my collection.

As you can imagine, it’s a woody earthy fragrance. Inherently masculine with a slight smokiness behind it. It’s warm in tone and perfect for the colder winter months – snuggled up in layers or knitwear.

The payoff is undeniable, it lasts a long time but is not overpowering, it wears nicely throughout the day.

At £40 a bottle it is really reasonable and just may be what you are looking for this winter!
