A Glass of Lemonade

2024 is the year that I decided to update my website. Heading swiftly towards my 40th birthday later this year, I felt that I needed a cleaner, sleeker aesthetic that was more representative of myself and I wanted to portray more hopeful and positive perspective to reflect my current life vibes!

Overall I am super happy with the progress I have made on the website. I think you’ll agree that this is definitely an upgrade on the previous versions! But one area was bothering me – my gallery.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a moody and atmospheric shot, with contrast between the light and the dark, but the overall feel of that gallery is less positive and more textural. This side of me will never disappear, but I wanted to better represent the “me of now”. So I set myself the challenge of creating a gallery that focuses on the new, feeling on the precipice of something exciting, contentment and positivity.

This gallery has become the start of a new era. Where the previous gallery is white noise, this one is called A Glass of Lemonade. It want to to be full of energy with a forward momentum and to celebrate all that’s good.

I hope you enjoy.

I want my blog to be a place of self-expression, a celebration of body confidence & and creative outlet. but it got me thinking about the aesthetic that I am putting forwards to the world… I want this also to be a place of positivity and hope and so it was time to add a page where I can share this side of me too!
A smile doesn’t come easily to me – it’s can be very self- critical. But my followers have embraced me as a person and that really is something to smile about.
I used to think I wasn’t enough. But I choose to change that narrative in my own mind and own the man that I am. Taking charge of my own life has made me be able to shine my light from inside and stop apologising for being me.
Whenever it all gets a bit much – I will look back to this page and scroll through a happy gallery. I look to myself to recover my own happiness.
A new challenge for 2025!
