thatisbeyond… a brief dive into Wear Raphael

In brief.

When I review a new pair of underwear quite often my focus is on how they make me feel, with much less emphasis on the garment itself. Whilst this is personally very important for me, it doesn’t mean that you will also feel the same if you were to try the same pair.

All of us have unique bodies, preferences and needs of our underwear and so it’s important that my future reviews have some focus on the more practical matters of the underwear themselves. To give you all a better chance of finding the pair that really suits your needs.

A lot of people have a “go-to” style and tend not to deviate from them, but sometimes it is nice to have a selection of styles to choose from depending where on your mood – so maybe an exploration of different styles might open the door to undies that you had never considered before.

Wear Raphael are a brand that I am familiar with, having tried a couple of pairs in the past. They have a range in bright colours that combine functionality with fit, that has a very flattering overall aesthetic.

Take the WR4 Blue Modal Men’s Briefs. They are a more traditional cut where the magic is in the fabric! A full-coverage brief, the whole of the buttock is framed inside the  rear panel and elasticated edges offer support around the buttocks and under the bulge where it provides a little lift too.

The contrasting yellow piping adds style and is a nod to the traditional Y-Fronts from which the modern brief was derived.

A modal / elastane mix means the briefs are super comfortable to the skin and and soft to the touch. The top-tier quality of the modal fabric is that it enhances the package without discomfort, sort of moulding to the required contours, with no need for additional pouches or fabric to create lift (which can be very uncomfortable).

What a colour combo.

The design not only looks great, blue and yellow is one of my favourite colour combinations, but is super practical. Whether they are for the gym, or for general life, you can wear them hours on end without discomfort and even several washes in, they look as good as they did they say that they arrived!

Whether you are a brief advocate or not, Wear Raphael are an excellent option. With comfort like this, why not try them for yourself – they may be the brand that convince you that briefs ARE for you afterall!
