I thought I’d venture onto a product that is not as high street as my usual blogpost! The appeal for this particular product is twofold, it is one of those products that everyone raves about, and it sounds like a potion that would feature in a Harry Potter book!
I’m probably a bit late to the party with regards to the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, I guess this is because of the price (£36) and because the concept of adding oil to my combination skin is really off-putting! Every ounce of my being was telling me it made no sense and that it was going to cause me to break out – but when I received this miracle product for my birthday I realised just how magical it is!
It is described on the bottle as ” a replenishing elixir of pure essential oils and distilled botanicals to visible restore the appearance of skin by morning”. It smells great. There are layers of fragrance that are soothing and rejuvenating and very fresh with a hint of wood. In short you can feel and smell the quality of the essential ingredients. It comes in a small, blue, glass bottle with a clever glass pippette in the lid. It oozes quality at every turn!
I guess that the trick is actually that a little of this elixir goes a long, long way (just 2 drops from the pippette is enough to deal with my BIG face!) it works its way into the skin throughout the night, and the results are marvellous! I noticed a plumpness to the skin and a clear glow to it. I have to say that the best way to describe the results would be that it provides clarity to the skin and kind of… buffs it up.
The idea of applying oil to the skin, resulting in break outs, has simply not been my experience of it. In fact I have found a major improvement in my complexion, with spots being kept to an absolute minimum.
For me £36 is a lot of money to spend on anything, but this product has a lot going for it. It goes a long way because you literally only need a couple of drops, it is easy to use and takes no time at all, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in the results.
This product has easily become one of my top skincare products. @li0nsmane recommended this previously and that is enough for me. It’s a stylish product, that works for me as a guy who is into grooming, but also quite lazy! You just gently rub into the skin and then go to bed. Done!
If you haven’t tried it yet, I fully believe it is worth all the hype surrounding it. Go into a Kiehl’s shop and ask them, you will see the quality immediately. And they will be able to tell you everything that you need to know about it.
If you buy any skincare system this Autumn let it be this one! And you will experience the results for yourself. Although a unisex product, this is well suited to us blokes, and let’s face it we need to keep our skin looking good, because on the most part we don’t cover it up with makeup!
Nice write-up dude. I made the switch to the Dark Spot Serum just to use as a base layer to my moisturiser and it is awesome. Love the consistency and it really works into the skin. I’ve not tried this one yet as the price is high to afford both but will try it out when I get a chance. Cheers
Hi mate thanks for the support, I need to try out some more of the kiehls line… Am heading through duty free so I may just treat myself!
Have a great day
